Being the 'best in the business' mean we are often recognised for the effort we put in to not only be the best - but stay at being the best!
Coliseum Coaches have just purchased 3 new coaches for the 2008 seaeson. The vehicles use powerful German MAN chassis and Beulas Spanish built bodies.
The Corporate/Football team coach was recently entered into the Brighton Coach Rally where it picked up the award for the "Best Executive Coach"
The top coach driver in the competition to find the best in Britain is Jan Scott of Coliseum Coaches.
Jan, 49, has been coach driving for over 20 years, and was awarded the accolade of CDC Coach Driver of the Year at the recent Coach Tourism Awards. However, she was away on tour to Italy and unable to attend the prestigious event.
Nevertheless, upon her return the experienced tour driver was presented with the Roadchef-sponsored trophy, certificate and bottle of Champagne by Coliseum Managing Director Kerry Pitter.
Jan, who drives a Neoplan Euroliner on the Angela Holidays programme, says her favourite tours are Denmark for out and out scenery and Austria for the complete experience.
She is regularly accompanied by courier Marion Oliver who describes Jan as the complete professional always striving for perfection, while the awards Judges say they were impressed by the numerous letters of praise received from Jan's passengers.
Jan was one of the few women drivers around when she started out after a career in the Army. She has worked for Coliseum since 1994 and is now on almost permanent hire to Angela holidays.
She still says she loves the job, looks forward to all the tours and sees new destinations as a great challenge.
She is also a very diligent researcher of routes. She said " I never wanted to give anyone the opportunity to say anything about women drivers not knowing where they are going."
